This Oaxaca-style shredded duck picadillo is a rich, savory-sweet filling that’s perfect for chile rellenos, tamales, tacos, or crisped up in a skillet and tucked into a warm tortilla. Slow-cooked duck is shredded and mixed with caramelized onions, dried fruit, and warm spices, creating a deeply flavorful dish with the perfect balance of umami, acidity, and sweetness.

We served this inside our mole enmoladas, and if you have any leftover Guelaguetza mole starter, trust me—this is the enchilada filling you want.
